Hi bunnyboiler,
Where to shop depends on what you want to buy and what shops you have local to you. I try to buy local produce when I can but www.mysupermarket.co.uk is a good website for comparing the offers that are current in different stores.
Martin's recently updated article What's hot and what's not at Aldi/Lidl/Netto should help too.
It's also worth a look at these threads from the Shop but Don't Drop board:
Great 'What's Hot and What's not at Aldi, Lidl & Netto' Hunt revisted
What's hot and what's not at Aldi/Lidl/Netto Article Discussion Area
Great What/What Not to Buy at Lidl, Aldi and Netto Hunt
As this is a shopping thread rather than Old Style, I'll move it over to the Shop but Don't Drop board where you should get more help.0 -
I've always found that it depends what you want from your shopping decides which supermarket is cheapest for you. What I mean by this is that for me I find Asda is the cheapest but thats because I bake a lot and cook from scratch.Other people prefer Lidl or Asda but I find they dont have half the baking stuff that I need so it would be a false economy for me to shop there as I'd need to shop at Asda anyway
