Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

It's been going at this price at Robert Dyas for some time.

Worryingly - the item is not listed on the Kuhn website...
Does anybody know how reliable is the make generally and the kitchen centre in particular?
Certainly seems cheaper than the expensive Magimix and Kenwood stuff - but is it worth it in the end?0 -

John Lewis, Robert Dyas and Empire all doing them so you can probably hang on till Monday when hopefully mine'll arrive and I'll let you know how good they are but most of their other stuff is pretty highly rated.
If no good I will have wasted £7 postage in finding out.

looking at the slicer and shredder discs they look similar to the ones on my machine and I can tell you now they split/crack, they have a little metal weight set into a recess on the underside of the blade as a counter balance and the plastic housing cracks all the way to the outer edge, this means the weight will not stay in place and the thing wanders around the worksurface due to vibration, or worse still someone ends up eating the weight when it drops in your mix without noticing, bear in mind I am talking about a disc about the size of a 1p piece but as thick as a £1 coin!!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

I got one of these mixers inexpensively with my points with my local grocery shop. It didn't take long before I figured out why they were just about giving them away.
Within weeks of purchase the turning bolt on bowl for the food processor had broken. The speed numbers wiped off with the first clean, and now it has started making a very disturbing grinding sound.
All I can say is... avoid this machine!!0
