ppi help on a credit card

Hi

Hope someone can answer some questions for me. I have been reclaiming charges back from a credit card and I noticed that I have been charge for PPI. Now I have the orginal application for and it clearly states that we dont want PPI yet 2 months later they are charging us.

Now in all the paper work I have there is nothing saying we want it or signed up for it. So can I claim it back I have added it up and its over £100 charged which I know isnt loads but every bit helps

Thanks
Emma

    Hi Emma
Right then hun, check this link out here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

You will find some very useful PPI info, in-fact I am currently dealing with some Credit Credit Cards PPI now (lloyds), they had added the PPI on mine in early 2000's when I was not even working to be entitled to this.

You will also find a useful template letter on the site, but add your own reasons and as much info as you can to support your reclaim.

They have 8 weeks to respond, another letter maybe required if not successful first time round as the main of us tend to received standard fob off template letters stating the usual for eg: "you signed for the PPI, and must have been aware" etc, but that means nothing.

So before going to the FOS (financial ombudsman stage), they have 8 weeks and have to give a final decision, they may give you the opportunity to write to them again but will say so in their letter about the FOS with an enclosed leaflet, good luck and please let us know the outcome of this in order for us to help you, cheers.;)

(also just to add - there is a forum for this actual PPI)
    Click on loans
After you click on loans you will see the thread called PPI Reclaiming - Discussion Thread III, your most welcome to post there as well, where myself and others will be happy to help all we can.;)
