last year 3rd of nov i sold my roles watch up2 £5000. the guy who bought that watch transfer money into my account, it was saturday so i went to change in beurea to get it into euro's.
i went to thomsons n gv my bank card n type my pin code n gv me idds.after transaction completed she rung my bank and my bank refused to pay me cash so i went to marks and spencer to cash out. they give my the money so after a week wn i received my bank statment, there were two transactions from thomsons and marks&spencer. first i thought its bank fault or something then my bank give my case to west cott recovery agency. my solicitor explained them everything then my bank give my case to IQor recovery. now they been after my n saying to give back that money.i went to thomsons n i have got a letter that shows they havn't received any money from me so i said that to recovery that i never had that money and thomsons said that money is been transfered back to my bank.
IQor recovery said bank faurd team done there investigation and they said to collect £5000 from me.
they threat me that they gona come down my house, but i live with my dad and i dnt have anything. i am a student in universtiy and m not working.
so what they can do??
in the end if i have to pay, wil they accept if i just pay like £10 a month because i have no property n hvnt got ani saving at all.
but i dnt understand i fax that letter to them as well that show thomson neva received any money frm me but still they after me n keep ringing me and sayin 2 pay that amount back.
can any one tell me what 2 do?
i am really stressed and dnt knw wa to do.please email me back.

write to your banks head office and request a copy of their formal complaints procedure.

When making the complaint, provide a copy of the Thomsons letter and request they explain why a debt collection agency is threatening legal action when all you have done is take money which was in your account, out of the account. Tell them that if they fail to respond, you will be notifying the Information Commissioners Office, Trading Standards and the Financial Services Authority.

  • This is the second thread with an identical first post.

Perhaps you may find it helpful to to speak to the CAB or is there someone at the University that can help.

:o Also I find it quite difficult to follow the chain of events. Have you actually spoken to a solicitor and could you go back to them for further help?

On your computer there is a spell check please use it ! I am hopeless at spelling and grammar . But we need to be able to read what people are writing.

They need to invent a program that will expand text type to full English. It took me a while, but i think i got the gist of it.

    few things strike me here
    1) the poor use of english
    2) why try to withdraw from M&S if it was declined at thomsons
    3) why change £5000 into euros
    4) why would a bank fraud dept get a DCA involved rather than the police?

Maybe i just have a suspicious mind

PS anyone tried to ring that "apparent" mobile number?
