£50.00 for a Briggs & Stratton Engined Lawn Mower is exceptional.

They are one of the best engines around.

Very reliable and not needing constant servicing.

Better than a lot of the italian or japanese engines by far.

If I wasn't moving soon I would def buy one.

    Great find.

Methinks they won't be available for long ATP.

If you need a petrol lawnmower I suspect it is quite possible you need a self propelled one and this one isn't (there are no drive wheels, you have to manually push it around).

A very good buy if its what you need though.

I bought one of these from Argos a year ago and ended up having to return it because the plastic chassis was so flimsy causing the grass box to continually fall off. YMMV, may be worth the risk at this price...

    Mark,

Bearing in mind what Galstonian just said above your post - how hard was it to push when cutting the grass?

I didn't find that a problem, you're just wheeling the thing about, and I find the main drag with these things is manouvering them around at the end of each strip, where powering the wheels wouldn't help anyway. I actually replaced the McCulloch with a different push petrol mower that is quite a bit heavier (metal deck homebase one). May be an issue if you have a large garden on a slope I suppose.
