It was across the table, after I'd made dinner for him (for the first time - he's been a professional cook so whenever it's my turn I bring takeaway) and he had a ring in his pocket that he had made for me, having measured my finger while I was sleeping.
Oh, the ring is gorgeous! The stone was given to him by his mother to give to the right girl. It's a solitaire on a narrow gold band. I know nothing about diamond cuts and such like, but the stone is round and is held onto the ring in four places, that kind of makes it look square. It's slightly big, but then I'm not a sound sleeper and he probably wasn't expecting my fingers to actually be as tiny as they are.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
