Focus DIY - 60% off all Xmas trees and lights !

Have just been to my local Focus DIY and they had a sign up (not what I call an 'official' sign, one that has been printed on a computer) saying 60% off all Xmas trees and lights !
I'm not sure if this is just specific to my local store (Rustington, W.Sussex) or nationwide.
However, when we got to the till, the discount wasn't taken off. Team leader popped over and tried to tell us one of the sets we bought wasn't in the promotion. We politely told her that the sign didn't mention any exclusions and we then had lots of reasons why they were excluded including:
they're not xmas lights :rotfl:
they're not focus own lights :rotfl:
we keep them in all year so they're not in the promotion (even though they've only been in store for the last day or so - we popped in last week !) :eek:
Anyway, we got the discount and over £50 worth of lights for £20 :j
Hopefully this will be in ALL stores so go get em ! And don't forget to mention the no exclusions on the sign if the discount doesn't come off !
