Please can someone help me compose a letter. One of my creditors is egg cc, whose debt has been taken on by Collect Direct. I have written to all my creditors to let them know that I was contacting debt management companies, but changed my phone number due to constant harrassment.
Today, my neighbour called round to say that a friend of mine had been trying to contact me but had lost my number so had obtained her number from somewhere, and rang her to get it.. This "friend" I learnt was collect Direct.
I have spoken to Payplan, who have told me to write to the Office of Fair Trading, and the financial ombudsman, as this practice is not ethical.
Anyway, how do I write this letter?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Nicky

Hi Nicky
I think you can just do a copy and paste really. You've said almost everything in your post. I would state in the letter that you wish to make an official complaint about the practices of Collect Direct. Inform them of what has happened as above and request that they look into the matter and advise you as to what action may be taken against the company. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
