Hi Everyone,
I have been on a DMP, with payplan for the past 6 months and at present everything seems to be going fine with most of my creditors, and most in the short term have agreed to reduced payments and frozen the interest.
However, MBNA my biggest creditor are im sure not on the same planet as the rest of the world, within the last two weeks I have had two telephone calls form them asking can they introduce me to one of their parent companies who maybe able to help me with either re-mortgaging or getting a consolidation loan to help pay off my debts... My reply to this was have you looked at my account I have with yourselves you will be able to see that I am on a DMP with payplan and have been for the last 6 months and for your information I would be in breech of my agreement to obtain anymore credit whilst on this plan.. With that she said alright and put the phone down.
Just wondewred if anyone else had any experiences with them like this... Very bazarre..

Not heard of this one (and i work there!)
We used to do loans.co.uk - but thats gone now, and was usually only directed at homeowners with anyway, but not heard of a stance of loans from a parent company! - there isnt a parent company *unless you count bank of america* who took them over (or merged if you listen to the high up people)No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
Proud to be a Friend of Niddy.
no idea what my nerdnumber is - i am now officially nerd 229, no idea on my debt free date0 -
Yep, I was offered a consolidation loan with them before I started my dmp. Naturally, I refused it. MBNA are my largest creditor and generally have been very good, apart from that little hiccup!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 20140
