Advice needed on how to copy CD's to PC

I bought 5 audible books on CD's from a local charity shop. On getting home, I tried to transfer them to Itunes to enable me to put the books on to my Ipod shuffle.
All went well until I added the second disk and then every chapter became jumbled up! ie, Disk 1 chapter 3 ended up with Disk 2 and chapter 7! Is there a way that I can sort the chapters on my Itunes? Help

Is there another way to do this? Any advice welcomed.

You can click and drag in Itunes to put things in the order you want them. Or maybe trying a smart playlist for each with the criteria for the first one being containing the words "disc 1" or something along those lines and so on.

Can you rename them to be in alphabetical order in the order you want?

Thanks for the suggestion. The chapters are as follows, name of book/1a/1b/1c and so on.

I have thought that I would start again (oh dear me, as I had loaded 5 disks of the 11!) and just load one chapter at a time. Then load on disk two and upload it to my Shuffle and on and on.

Are you sure you didn't just have your ipod on shuffle?
