Have you got anything you could sell on Ebay/Amazon etc to raise some cash to throw at your debts?[/quote]
Not really i have already done this a few months previously as well as paying off an even higher rate card with a large bonus from work.
thanks for your kind welcome anyway0 -
You may find that it is the stuff in that £500 for the bills that can be tackled to find you and your partner some spare cash. Then you can pay things off quicker. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Hi, it's not not easy to look at the credit card balances, so well done!
I work for another bank, and we get a staff rate on credit cards and overdrafts as well as personal loans - can Barclays offer you any staff rates on these?
Also, I don't know how Barclays is, but my company can be very strict about staff conducting their finances in a proper manner, so I think I would look after your Barclays account and loan first!
Good luck x0 -
Welcome!

It takes courage to post for the first time and admitting how much debt is actually lurking. You will get there.
Your rent and bills look really high. Looks like you have around £24K of debt. It can be done and there is plenty of good advice on here I have had from other posters in my first week of posting

well the staff loan is fixed at a low rate (6.2%) and does allow for overpayments, the credit cards are just standard barclaycards.
i never ever exceed my current account overdraft as these are monitored and its frowned upon to run your account poorly.0 -
