Hello All,
The people we bought our house from (some 4 years ago now), had a lot of debt.
We are still getting debt letters for them.
is their anything we can do about it.
we tried returning them with now know at this address, when people call we tell them, their moved out 4 years ago.
but still we get them over and over, and some of them are the same ones and a few new ones.
any ideas?
Regards
Andy

Other than making sure that their names are not still on the electoral roll for that address, there isn't much more you can do. You are doing the right thing so keep doing that. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

sorry mate, by calls, i mean calling at the door, our number was changed the second we got the house, and it is ex directory.
just getting sick of them coming around asking to speak to her, and not beliving us that we say she has moved out (some 4 years ago)
and then their ask for our id, to take away with them to copy!!!!!
like hell i am going to do that.
i think the main question is, is she still using our address for her debts

Hi
Get your credit records and also make sure she is not on the electoral roll.
if you get people visiting, demand their id, copy the information and write to their head office demanding that your address is removed from their records and advise tham that if you get any more problems, you will report them to the Information Commisioner. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Ring the council or go into your main library - by law a copy has to be kept for public inspection. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
