Tesco's Computer says NO

Just popped into Tesco to use my treasured £2.50 Clubcard voucher. My shopping came to £2.48. No problem I thought because I don't want the 2p change. Tesco can keep it. After all "Every Little Helps". But hang on, what's this...... The Computer Says NO ! It says I must spend £2.50, or more. The assistant shrugged her shoulders, just like Carol Beers from Little Britian. I didn't know what to do by this stage and the shoppers waiting behind me are growing more impatient by the minute. "Buy some mints or something"? was the helpful reply from Mr Angry man behind me "Where can I find them?" I ask. "Third row down, nearest the door". And there I am running like a mad thing, looking like someone out of that telly program, Supermarket Sweep. And this hassle comes on top of the previous week where I tried to redeem a voucher for 20p off fresh fruit. To put it bluntly don't even attempt to buy peppers or tomatoes because, you've guessed it, The Tesco Computer will say NO!

I would pick up a sweet from the pick and mix and make the bill £2.50
Or alternatively, save the voucher and use it for £10 off one of their services

If this type of thing has happened twice then maybe you need to read the terms and conditions on the voucher in future.
I would have just paid cash for the items and used the voucher another time.
It is not the fault of the checkout operator that you had decided to use a voucher for which the terms and conditions were that you spent £2.50 or more. What did you want the checkout operator to do, reprogramme the POS system to accommodate you for not having read the voucher?0 -
£2.48 can hardly describe a Shopping Bill jeez, you must have only had a couple of packets of mints in the first place.
Thats EIGHT people now wasted time replying to this0 -

Ask a silly question..............
Also why do people try and put comedy into complaints, it instantly sounds more made up for the purpose of humour rather than an actual account of a situation, therefore lessening it's integrity.0
