Dermalogica Moisturiser - which one?

Hi all (and beauty experts - hopefully!),

I'm ordering a few Dermalogica bits from 'jerseybeautycompany', now I normally use Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser (which I really like) but would like to try a Dermalogica Moisturiser. . .there's so many! So my question is which one should I go for (most comparable to Clinique product)?

It will be for general everday (daytime) use, so something fairly light. Using ultracalming cleanser, soothing protection spray and super rich repair (at night).

I have sensitive skin and use sunbeds (which I know is bad for me but I find they really do help!)

Thanks for that, although it points me in the direction of barrier repair (which I've tried and really don't like). Not sure if I should speak with a Dermalogica consultant or just stick with the old faithfull: clinique.

What skin type are you? Oily, combination, normal, dry? Any aging concerns etc?
Do you want a light moisturiser or something a bit heavier as its winter?

I trained in Dermalogic about 10 years back (whilst at college doing Beauty therapy), some products have changed since then, also not sure the jersey site stocks all of them.

Oh also not 100% sure on this but I think you used to be able to get samples of products. Not sure if the website do it, or if you'd need to go to a salon or counter in a store for them. Not sure on the current policy on giving out samples to try. But might be worth checking out if you really aren't sure what skin type you are.

i use jerseybeautycompany quite a lot for dermalogica products...i would recommend the skin smoothing cream moisturiser Good thing about the jbc is that they usually send you free samples of other products.

p.s i also use the ultra cleanser and the medicated clearing gel overnight. Nice and gentle on sensitive skin.

Hi trace_567, it's a combination of sensitive and dry (sometimes very sensitive and sometimes dry) - obviously I have some ageing concers due to my sunbed use (which seems to help with the sensitive/dry skin).

Something that's similar to the consistancy of clinique would be great for daytime.

Barrier repair to me doesn't seem like a moisturiser, if feels to sit on the surface of the skin and rubs up rather than in.

fluffynit, is the skin smoothing cream like a normal moisturiser, i.e. a lotion - that's easily absorbed by the skin and a good base for applying make up over? That's basically what I'm looking for.

Is there not anywhere that stocks it locally? You could pop in and they will let you test them. I trained with Dermalogica and its lovely! I have greasy skin and i use the oil control moisturiser - i have never used anything so good.

Hi I own a beauty salon and would be glad to help. I can face map you online and then recommend the correct Dermalogica moisturiser. Barrier Repair may not be enough for your skin.
