Has anyone had trouble instaling the line6 software into a PC with vista?
If so...what's the solution? It's doing my head in honestly, the drivers won't update. I have a line6 toneport kb37

If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

Have you tried looking on Line6's website? There is a revised download there which apparently "fixes a minor bug".

Have you tried the "contact us" link on their website?
If that fails you could probably demand your money back if you bought it retail - the product is clearly described as Vista compatible, so if it can't be made to work it's obviously not fit for purpose.
Or, if you ~must~ get it to work, I'd consider "upgrading" from Vista to XP, or installing XP in dual-boot mode, and see if it works with that. But I appreciate that this may be a step too far for most people...0 -
What is the exact problem you're having?
What program are you installing?
What error messages are being generated?0 -
Yes I've tried the contact us part, they say write the question on their forum - so they're as much use as a chocolte fireguard!
The drivers aren't installing. It's not the programmes that I'm having problems with it's the drivers. I've tried running it in XP mode and it doesn't work with that either.
There's no error messages, the drivers just refuse to upgrade. We're installing the higher drivers and they say they're installed, but it just keeps putting the lower drivers on.If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0 -
So it's downgrading the drivers to a lower version?
Have you completely uninstalled Gearbox, restarted your computer and reinstalled it following the on screen instructions very carefully, for example, not connecting the USB until it tells you too?0
