Flat In Blacklisted Shared House; HELP!

Have just registered different cred card with Blah UK and have now had orders rejected by HSBC (their paying agent) stating "billing address you have has previously been associated with fraudulent transactions".
Have used Blah many times and they are happy with me but there are 14 flats at my address.
Have been using same card and details with other online companies without problem and am using dvd rental company to prove my address safe.
Have never had lost items here in 2 years online shopping use. Have no debts and have paid off card bill in full for over 8 years.
Do I have to now pay for credit check??? Will my separate flat number NOT exclude me from fraudulence in another flat?
Hope someone can help.

Unfortunately not, the “blacklist” is in fact a register called CIFAS , https://www.cifas.org.uk this is a credit industry association that keeps records of both actual and potential fraud at an address (or similar addresses )
Where a building has been split into many flats this is often a problem, the best way forward is to apply for your credit file from all three of the main credit reference agencies,
You can obtain this for £2 from each provider
https://www.equifax.co.uk
https://www.experian.co.uk
https://www.callcredit.co.uk
Once you have this information, and can see exactly what CIFAS information is held you can then contact any company’s who may have added data to this address which is effecting you, and possible have it re-categorised to lessen its impact on you personally
Unfortunately whilst CIFAS is a good system in principal for both consumers and providers there are cases where it can be unduly restrictive:rolleyes: It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0
