Would I be entitled to reclaim PPI?

Hi - I've had PPI Insurance with my Barclaycard since I took out the card 8 years ago.
I didn't even realise that I had this insurance until more recently.. in fact I was umemployeed for a number of months and unable to make payments about 4 years ago and wasn't even aware that it would of been an option to claim..?
I think that I have a case for being missold (I was 18 at the time they gave me my barclaycard and it wasn't a case of me asking for it, they literally said would you like one when I was in the bank and me being young and naive said yes sure! Start of my problems)
I just wanted to know whether this is worthwhile trying to claim for I don't want to be wasting the FO's time if it's not really the case - but I never wanted the cover I know that!!!!
