How often can a price change?

Can anyone help me please? I have seen a pair of boots on ASOS which were £48 this morning. They have since changed price three times, going up to £56, then £70, then back down to £54. The only reason I didn't buy them when they were £48 is that I was waiting to see if a friend wanted to order anything to combine shipping. I complained to ASOS Customer Services but they basically said tough luck, so I wondered if there were any regulations which say how long an item has to be at a certain price before they can change it?

There are only regulations as to how long something has to be a given price (14 days) for the company to be able to say that it is reduced.
If they are not quoting a discount on the previous price they can change the price every second (like shares) if they want.0 -
Thanks ... shame though! I was hoping to beat them back down to £48!0

Perhaps they're going to have a SALE, so they're putting their prices UP - lots of shops charge more when they have a sale on.:D0
