ASOS Christmas/New Year sale date

Obviously things are different this credit-crunch Xmas but as a rough guide, does anyone remember when last year the main ASOS sale started? I'm thinking it was Chrimbo day itself but willing to stand corrected.
More to the point, if anyone knows when this year's sale launches please share the secret!
