Ummmmm this is Boots own fault they have not put a min spend on the vouchers. To me it was not a well thought out ideal. Well for Boots anyway.
I have done 7 transactions at different times over the last few days in three different stores. Two of those where done by my husband and not myself. He now has come very cheap pressies for me as both items where either £5 of less. And I have bought 2 items over £5 and paid a £1 each time and with one I bought some goods and it costed me less than £3.
I don't feel guilty as I use the range when I can as it is nice but I can't afford to buy it all the time even when on 3-4-2. As I am not working and money is very tight at the moment.
I also don't take the pee. Today I did another 3 transaction in two different boots. First time was with an TD item over £5. And with two of the others bought something else. Once with reduced christmas stock over £6. The store I did two transactions in I left a time scale of about half and hour to 45 mins before going back.
With all the transactions including the ones my husband did. Not once was he questioned. And neither have I. It maybe that I am just lucky and around here in my area either enough people are not computer/internet savvy (not a slur but I live a rural area) or they don't read the forums here.
I only ever take what I can use in a reasonable time scale 6 months to a year.
So think Boots need to look inwards on this one. And stop blaming the customer. As they have left themselves wide open on this.
I have saved £28 a lone on this deal. And I am sure that my husband will buy me a few more items from the range before the deal is out. As these will be presents for me through out the year.
To me when such deals raise there heads I am always subtle and don't draw attention to the deal I am getting unless the SA mentions it. So that means not putting through 20 items in 20 seperate transactions at the same time. And also don't use my AD card everytime either. But each to there own.
I never use to shop at Boots thinking they where to expensive. But since using these boards I shop there a lot more. Since I get points and get to go a Boots every 6-8 weeks with a AD machine. Which means I get more for my money. And it helps save both me and mum money long term. As people get great pressies for not a lot.

I just went to the large Boots in Croydon, they had loads of TD stuff on the shelves (apart from the hand cream that I wanted) but all their vouchers had gone! I bought a toner today and I'll go back tomorrow and get some moisturiser as that's pretty expensive... I've now saved nearly £28 on this stuff! :T0

My store is still stocking the limited amount of the time delay, they still have quite a few leaflets there as well.
I got the exfoliating stuff today, I would've had the hand cream, but my small store doesn't stock it at the moment. In fact there are only about 5 different items stocked. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
My local store still has loads of leaflets and TD products or did till the SA asked me where I got the voucher from. She then removed a big handful for her own use. Oh well I have got 2 handcreams, 2 face cleansers, 1 wipes and 1 pack as a pressie so happy with my stock for now.0
