Free time delay products in boots!!!

  • I went to my local Boots today and they do not sell the Daniel Ryman range only the time delay and as it is a very small store they have limited stock items. The only item for £5.00 or under was the time delay hand cream and they only had one left so I got it. However, they suggested I go to another Boots in Cardiff as they would have a much wider range so I drove into Cardiff to take a look.

I know I will use the products so I had 8 vouchers in my purse, the cashier was lovely and scanned them but when it came to the time delay intensive firming serum it came up as £9.50 but when she looked she said she had to sell me the items for the shelf edge label price of £4.50 even though they were supposed to be £9.50 !! then of course by using the vouchers I got them free. She then said if I had any more vouchers why didn't I use them now (I had said I had driven from the next town) I said I didn't want to take the hiss but she said go ahead and grab !!

So I got another 8 items, and she said oh come they're free why not get some more!! so not needing any encouragement, I picked up some leaflets went back to my car, cut them out and used another 12 - yes in total I had 29 items today. The cashier was quite happy for me to do this and these will not be wasted, they will all be used. And also there was lots more on the shelves for other MSEs

Thanks OP for this brilliant post because I have got things today that I would not normally afford to buy - thanks again - welsh dragon x

This is excellent! Im sure it wont be long before Boots are on to it though! I have just been in twice and in my Boots branch (Aldgate) quite a few of the Time Delay products are marked down to half price so I got a £9.99 Time Delay Starter pack for nothing!! excellent! so i went back and did it again!
Im going to give them as gifts as they are in a nice pack!

    thanks again shazspice
  • I told my friend about in the offer and she went into town and they would only let her have one item (complete contrast to my experience today). They said that people were having too many freebies and that it would be strictly limited to one per customer nationwide within the next few days. I had 29 items which could easily equate to £180 worth of freebies off them so I guess they are not going to carry this offer on for much longer ? However, there is nothing stopping people going in several times and just getting one each time. Although maybe they will not replenish the stocks on the shelves whilst this offer is on.

Went into my local and took the last wipes today, no other items in range left. Are they unlikely to re stock?

This is what the Freebies board is all about. What a terrific find! I plan to stock up for as long as I can, perhaps make up a few complete packs to send back to Australia as gifts. Thanks again :j

Trafford Centre Boots had loads of the little booklets - all except 'Look Great'! Are there that many MSE'ers in Manchester?!

i have just been to the metro centre in gateshead and got a load of these booklets. i sent my mam in too and my little girl and they got lots of booklets. i proceeded to purchase 4 lots of time delay stuff on 4 separate transactions. I waited in the queue for the young lad SA as knew he would not have a clue what was happening. i think BOOTS have definitely made a big mistake here. my mam would not go in as she said she did not want the products. i said so what they are free and you get boots points too. tomorrow i intend to go to lots of boots for these products ( i can sell them at a car boot sale later or donate them to the ward i work on for tombolas) and i also intend to go to Tesco armed with my list of misprices to see what i can get free. i also have a load of stuff ordered at Argos to pick up. i am sure i will have converted my mam tomorrow or she looks set for a boring day sitting in the car while i visit all boots and tescos in the region!!! i am so happy to have discovered this site and am totally addicted. how i did not discover it before now is beyond belief as i have missed out on some many things.

ps i am sure i saw a separate forum on tesco when i first came on this site but now cant find it. was i mistaken or is there one. can someone let me know.

    thanks, tracey
    Just about to give up!
