What did they say when you started?
Maybe you have already been reviewed and have not been given one?
Do the company have a general policy on pay that you have access to?
There is no guarantee in any job, particularly at the moment, of a pay rise.
 You can but ask0

I actually started in 2006 but got job switched and promoted in September last year. No general policy and no advice on it anywhere! Smallish company but will maybe chance my arm!

Ask your coworkers what normally happens with pay rises...
Many places will offer a cost of living rise each year, then additional raises based on merit above that. Sadly, these days, if you really want a raise, you have to have a good reason for getting one.
Do your research...find other similar positions and note the pay for them, list additional responsibilities you've taken on, any courses you've been on etc. Once you feel you've got a good case to jusify a raise, setup a meeting with your manager and discuss it.0

Thanks I am the boss up in the northern office so on a different pay scale salary etc to my staff. Others are paid in Euros and would all have different payscales.

Thanks anyway i may ask after the xmas party ;@)

Just send your boss a polite email detailing all your achievements in the last 14 months, and whether it would be possible to have a pay rise to reflect your hard work.
The worst they can say is no!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0

Probably best to phrase that as a "pay review" rather than a "pay rise". If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.0 If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.0
