hello!! have just declared myself bankrupt wish i had seen this site three weeks ago!

hey there, can anyone help me clear up a few niggling questions? both myself and hubby have been to court and declared bankrupt on the 11 of nov. the process wasnt too traumatic. situation as it stands is that we have three kids, one with a serious disablilty, debts beween us of 35k+ and my husband has just lost his job. we have no assets, rent our home and have been slowly drowning for the last three years!!

sooo my questions are as follows....

:p will the OR include my sons disability allowance in our income? if so will they also allow some expenses that may not be usual? like the £50 taxi bill each week that we pay for with his benefits? plus his gluten free diet and vitamin supplements? these two alone come in at £60 a week. BUT he does get disability living allowance for a reason!! To pay for this kind of stuff. lol.

:D whats the rules with council tax debts as we have a hefty chunk and had assumed they would be written off along with other debts but are now being told possibly not?

:T due to my husbands job loss our income is now different to that which we put on the petition? who should i tell? (we havnt had any contact with the OR except a 20 min call at the courthouse on the 11th...to be honest we are sitting in limbo unsure as to what we should do next!!)

 what do i do with debts that were not on the petition? package them all up and post to the OR?

 what about utilities? if i owe my water company a fortune but cannot change providers after the bankruptcy what happens?

:A can i pay my usual household bills at the moment or should we put everything on hold till the OR contacts us? booked for the 10th dec.

reckon thats it for now though. lol. i do wish i had found this site earlier as i think i may have just blundered in without really knowing what was going on!! was just so desperate to get the bailiffs off my back!! hoping that as we are totally skint and have nothing then the OR wont really be interested in us!!!
