He has recently retired and has received 100k + lump sum, and was wondering what the hell to do with it..

I think a little more information may be required!
Like: How old is he?
What can he expect/does he receive from his State Pension?
Does he have any other pensions?
Is he married?
Does he have any other savings or investments?
There may be more but I think these will do to be going on with.(AKA HRH_MUngo)
