Look for a cooker that has an auto function, ie it cooks on high for an hour then goes to low. I do all my meat in a slow cooker, throw it in and walk away, look at it again 6-8 hours later.0

Can I please hijack for a second! I've always wondered about roast joints in the SC - but I've only got a small very old SC with one setting - does that mean I can't cook chicken and turkey for fear it won't get hot enough?0

And on a different note, I found this recipe on an Australian website and it's sooooooo easy and soooooo nice.
Take a joint of silverside cover it with ginger beer ,yes ginger beer and leave it for 24 hrs. that's it !Space available for rent0
