Really annoyed with Argos. I reserved one of these trampolines when OP first posted the deal. I managed to reserve one at my local branch but it was not available to pick up until between 1st and 4th December. I went along yesterday to pick it up and was told that they were not in stock at my branch and that there would be no more available until January and of course would not be at the discounted price. I was really looking forward to giving it to my dd for xmas!!!!

Mine was supposed to be delivered today - I paid for it at the beginning of the week. I've just phoned to be told that it was 'damaged' and that they're now out of stock. Nice of them to let me know, instead of me waiting in all day.

So don't think I'll be getting one either. Apparently if htey do come back in stock, it doesn't automatically fulfil paid for orders?

Does anyone who works for Argos know if there is a way to get around this? They did apologise because I should have been notified but wasn't. Is there any compensation for something like this?

    Thanks

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

  • I agree, Argos C.S are pathetic. I've been having huge problems with them this year!

    Nice one.:rotfl:
My little one is going to have a great time on this. He still plays on his tiny one with the handle you hold on to & he's 6. He loves doing 'stunts' on it. It'll go in the shed until the spring though.

lol, Phunkles hardly needs encouraging. LOL
shes a deal mad lass. :) Which is fab btw Phunkles. :P

  • We had big problems getting this.
Reserved for store pick up, went there but they didn't have it, said they couldn't get it delivered to that store
Dh wasn't impressed, but was told there was one in the Putney branch so they reserved that for him to pick up no later than the saturday.
Went on the saturday, no trampoline.
Accused of leaving it too late & said it should have been picked by on the friday.... but our receipt said Saturday. Dh left & went to some other shops, goes back, gets in a lift to the car park & sees someone with the trampoline!!!!
He asked her & she said she had also reserved it , so he went back & spoke to the manager. He said sorry etc & said he'd order 2 (to be on the safe side) & it'd be there on the tuesday.

Tues - called putney, no trampoline, called again wednesday, no trampoline.
However there is now one in the wandsworth branch  do we want that.
Yes so they reserved that..... went there the next day, yes they have it in stock but the price had gone by to over £40 & they wouldn't give it to us for the lower price.
I was not happy when dh called from outside argos to say the price had gone back up.... considering we had originally reserved it 3 weeks before & had been constantly mucked about by argos.
I called argos cs & told them how annoyed i was, she said she'd call the manager & ask him to over ride the price. She called back & said although the manager wasn't happy about it, he'd give it to us for the lower price :D
Dh went back in & got it for the sale price...... the manager apparently had a face like thunder :rotfl:
I did email a complaint to argos & i got the most rubbish reply ever.... wouldn't bother emailing them again.
