Cancelled my broadband with them yesterday and now they want modem and £60 cancellation fee.!!! I paid £25 for modem when joining up several years ago but their CS state that the £25 was not the full value so must be returned..Can i claim the £25 back???

Nice way for them to repay your years of custom. I would tell the modem is available for them to collect at your convenience and to be honest, if you're taking a new broadband contract with another supplier you should get a router from them.
As for the £60 cancellation fee, I suppose it depends in where you are through a year of a contract. It would be money well spent to get away from their terrible service.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0 -
Bloomin heck... they're a bit cheeky, especially since you've been with them for a few years! I see here on their website that what you have been told is exactly as per their terms and conditions.

you may be better just asking for your MAC code and transfering to another provider, even migrating was only £40, but i think its a joke that after a doing a year you have to pay a cancelation fee.0

UTV emailed me...£25 fee was for upgrade to wireless router when i joined up in 2005...so i still have to pay them £40 cancellation fee and send the router back.
