Job Seekers Advice (Lost of Work)

Hi all,
I have been told this week that my work will be ending my contract on friday this week being my last day so i need some advice.
1, If i have been on contract and my work ends this can i put in for Job Seekers once i have finished my last day of work. I have paid NI for last 10 years etc and only ever been out of work once.
2, I have had to also relocate back in with my parents for the time being until i sort things out with work etc and bills. I dont pay them any rent etc but i buy all my own items as in food etc and support my own living costs. One of my parents is on disability allowance so will this cause any problems for me or my parent when it comes down to me seeking Job Seekers or her getting her allowance and will this effect any of our benefits.
Many Thanks

1) Yes, however they'll only pay from the third day of the claim.
2) No, you should be OK. They may even end up better off if they claim income based benefits and they've informed the relevent people you're living there and working.0 -
