Dell Sale

Hi,
There's a Dell promotion on at the minute with discounts on various systems and it ends tomorrow. Does anyone know from experience whether they offer better deals for Christmas after this or is this as good as it gets?
I need a laptop and I need the best buy available (I like the Dell one).
Thanks for any foresight any of you might have,
Steve.

Don't see anything special about the prices - low end anyway.
You're into the Silly Season now so I'd imagine they stay high till mid/late January.0 -
Dell has a permanent sale.
Sometimes it's money off, or free delivery, or increased HD capacity, or nothing to pay for a few months (except a hefty credit setup charge!)
So don't be panicked into buying because of a special deal. Like buses there'll be another one along in a minute.
By the way - I do think Dell sell good value computers, it's just that having been watching deals for the last 6 years you get to recognise the marketing tactics.0 -
I'd like a bargain offer in the next few months to replace my Inspiron 1300!

Try the Dell Outlet. They have £55 off and free delivery at the moment. When they had the same offer a couple of months back, I got a Laptop priced at £780 on the main site for £480. It was brand new. You may need to keep checking back until something suitable shows up and if it does grab it because they can go very quickly.0

The outlet is great - in the past month I have bought a Studio 1735 for £610 (circa £1000 on main site with spec I got) and a Studio 1537 for £380 (circa £625 on main site / Tesco - not for me but for a family member). Both have been in an as new condition and in my book a pair of bargains

Best advice I can give is get an idea of what you want (spec, size, model) be ready to buy immediately - you can only hold them in your basket for 15mins and when you do see one you want add it to your basket then quickly go to the main site and customise a new one to match the spec of the one in your basket - this will let you see if it really is a good deal. Finally try looking at the outlet late at night or early in the morning - both my bargains have been bought around 6am

I've just got a laptop from the outlet, a studio 1535 in Pink with a dedicated graphics card (which was top of my wishlist), for £373 delivered, the pink was a bonus. It came in a couple of days and it's beautiful (I am coveting it because it's not for me, it's my DD'd xmas pressie!).
The best thing about the outlet is the search facility, I knew I wanted a 256mb graphics card and it searched for just those ones.Well I can't stand by the side
And watch this life pass me by
Just want to be...Happy0
