i have my ps2 attached to the wireless router via rj45 and my pc connects to the router via lan wireless card. perfect solution and speeds.
for ps2 assign your console its own ip and manually enter the network settings. you will also need your isp dns primary and secondary settings.
so then your pc will have seperate ip and console a seperate ip. what you can do to secure it is putting the ps2 ip in DMZ of your router.

Hello, how do you manually set up th static ip for the ps2? I can connect mine but not play games. do you have to have static ips for the whole home network?
