No I didnt know anything about this until this afternoon, oh how im glad i didnt order a few days ago
yes they're in money problems, im waiting to see if the stores have stuff massively reduced as i might be tempted to buy some stuff
woolworths did recaive a bid in september form the boss of iceland frozen foods worth tens of millions of pounds which the woolies board rejected,0 -
I asked in store and they are only selling stock they have - once its gone it may not come back in stock same for clothes and christmas items - so you need to get your 20% voucher from the thread on the offers board and get what you can before Sunday when voucher expires - there are alot of offers instore and then you get 20% off as well.
I think they won't be around in the new year as we know them now!!0 -
I noticed a while ago that they had stopped doing kids clothing online too. There are a few bits under the baby section, but nothing like there used to be0

The company want to sell the high street stores off but continue their CD and book businesses. I guess they are preparing the website to just sell what Woolworths is left with and it will be an online only retailer.
The high street shops will probably be sold off to other companies or closed down.0 -
Was instore today and the shelves were very empty hardly any toys, electrical items like radios, tvs & they were out of stock of loads of dvd & games!! And they didnt have out of stock stickers on some of the games & dvds so people were getting stroppy with the poor sales assistants!!0

Most of the stuff has been selling out and not replaced online for a month or so. I guess their suppliers will not send any more stock to them because of the state of the company.0

But then do you really want to order from them in case they cant fulfill your order, go into the shop and see if you can get what you want from there or try another website,
I have taken the policy over the last couple of months if I'm buying something and not getting the goods/service straight away I pay by credit card
I have also paid my car insurance this way as the company could go bust before my years cover has finished
I've paid a deposit for carpet from carpet rite and a sofa deposit from DFS on credit card ( I get extra points/cash back this way too )
Better to be safe than sorry and let's face it no-one knows whos next to go down !!!Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
