Help - new basic account with creditor

I owed the Co-op almost 15k and they gave me a Cashminder account with no problem whatsoever.
Oh, that's good news:-) Did you tell them you had a card with them when you applied for cashminder? I did and they said that's fine. And actually said they already have my security details because of the card, so didn't have to ask those. Is that what happened to you, Finito?0 -

On the BR forms I left a lot of stuff out as there didn't seem to be room to fill it all in. I detailed most things on the new form and never heard a word since.
I suppose i should now tell them my mortgage has just gone up by nearly £600 per month!
Yes, I would imagine it would help to tell them, in case they have any ideas to imply payments from you:-)
In my case, I guess I better list more things that I have ommited on I&E. It won't matter right now, as boyfriend will be compensating for all, but should I find a job I think they might compare what was on the form before and later?Only hope they don't start assuming my boyfriend can afford to pay this much all the time...as he is onloy helping me out while I am out of work. After I find a job things will go back to normal and he will be contributing only half of rent and bills etc. Do you think the OR will understand that and be OK with it?0 -
Another question for you guys: I really don't want the landlord to know about all this, There are no clause in my contract. The contract is only in my name (and my deceased husband). I never late paid and been living here for almost 16 years. Should I ask OR not to contact Landlord or should I not mention it and hope for the best?0

You could try my landlord was not listed on my list of creditors and i was up to date with my rent but they did still contact them which thankfully did not cause a problem for me.
I have not read many posts on here saying that the landlord even got funny about it as long as they are getting there rent and obviously going forward without debts there are even more likely to get there rent they dont care.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

Oksana,
If you've been a good tenant for 16 years, never paid late etc, your landlord would be bonkers to create a bad atmosphere about bankruptcy. Others here may disagree, but you could pre-empt the OR and write to your landlord yourself, stating briefly what the situation is and reassuring him/her of your ability to continue paying the rent on time as usual. Fascinated by which accent it might be that you're worried about! Your OR will probably have heard everything from scouse to cockney to RP to ooh-arr and why-aye and ee' oop in his/her career. One thing my OR said to me, which might reassure you, is that the one thing he'd learned since starting work for the Insolvency Service was not to be judgemental. So please don't worry. Anyway, as you say, you've already spoken to them.

Well, I don't communicate with my Landlord direct, but through his solicitors. Normally I send a cheque to his solicitors every month in respect of rent and they send me a latter back confirming the receipt. I am worried that the landlord might try and get rid of me or try and change the agreement. Currently its an assured tenancy agreement (not shorthold), - it has no end date or review date and no clause about bankruptcy. Me being a worrier, I just hope he is not going to go all funny on me when he finds out that not only I went bankrupt, but I am also unemployed right now. He is off course going to get his rent, as my boyfriend will help me out for as long as I am jobless. And to be quite honest, if I didn't have my boyfriends help, I would do anything to earn the money for the rent!:-) This is my home and has been for all these years, - it would completely destroy me if I lose it. . I am thinking of asking OR not to contact landlord, but also am worried if I ask him that it might draw his attention to it where hi might not have any intention to contact him anyway?....
Lily, I am from Ukraine originally. Came here almost 20 years ago now. I am a British citizen now though, so hope it will not affect my citizenship...all this. ..0 -
Oh Oksana, please don't worry so much! Of course it won't affect your citizenship! You're perfectly within your rights to ask the OR not to contact your landlord, and you should tell the OR that you've been a good tenant for 16 years and no arrears. In the end, informing a landlord is down to the individual OR's discretion, ie although they are supposed to inform the landlord, some ORs don't. Hopefully you'll get a nice one who is prepared to overlook this. And if worst comes to worst, the landlord would be on VERY shaky legal ground if he was to start causing problems for you after such a long, unblemished tenancy.0

I am indeed what is called a sitting tenant. . My late husband and me were so releived when this agreement was drawn. No review dates for tenancy, no payment reviews, nothing.. Costed us a bit of money in solicitor fees to get this right, but my late husband done more work than they did, bless his soul. .0

Hello, me again:-)
I have to send my stuff to the OR tomorrow (or will take it there rather, as I have a whole pile of documents). Now, it says I should submit 3 last pay slips IF employed. I am not employed now, - so should I still send the last payslips (last one is dated 14th November and is the last one)?
With regards to cards that I need to send cut up, - I have those for the accounts I've opened aabout 1-2 months ago and didn't touch them, - should I still send cut up cards for those? What if some of those allow me to still bank with them?
Please help:-)0 -

Doubtfull they will allow continued use once you've gone BR besides those accounts you listed on your BR paperwork are now the property of the official receiver once you sign your paperwork. you will need to send ALL cards etc you listed in your paperwork
Please help:-)
Hope that helps
