No £99 is too expensive for that, a 1p Ryanair flight to Morocco would suffice!Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

i am so tempted but cant really afford it, and we went there this august. It would of been a very cheap way of seeing my mum and dad who live in singapore though.
By the way if people need a hotel try and book in the Renaissance that is where we stayed this year, but make sure it is the west wing. This is the newer of the 2 wings. It is located within walking distance of the petronas towers and the kl tower.
facilities are great swimming pool is fantastic. we paid approx £92 per room per night incl buffet breakfast and buffet evening meal.
i can upload some piccys if people are interested0 -

rigth we stayed there for 4 nights in august over a weekend.
The west wing was very upmarket for us!!! The pool is approx 50m from one end to the other but it is free form so not in a straight line. They have a poolside bar that you can swim up to. No worries about towels etc.. they give you them at poolside and they have lovely changing rooms and lockers etc..
the bedrooms are lovely and spacious, if you are lucky to get a corner one (my mum and dad did), then they are huge absolutely massive. our room was a standard room but was still more than big enough for 2 adults and 1 child (aged 10) on a put me up single bed.
The price i quoted was per room not per person so for £92 the 3 of us got breakfast and evening meal both buffet but stacks of choice of local and international food. My dad wanted roast potatoes one night to go with his beef and they made some for him!!
it is close to all the action, and is just a 2 min walk from the monorail/tube type thing they have to take you anywhere.
Taxis are very very cheap though approx 10ringetts (1.50) to get to the petronas towers (we had to get taxis as my mum has severe athritis)
If you do go we visited the royal selangor pewter factory it was a great way to spend a morning. They have a courtesy bus that will pick you up free from the hotel and drop you back. The tour was a great laugh and it was all free!! You can do a a workshop to make a pewter bowl which costs 50 ringetts (about £9) which was a great laugh and a great mometo to take home.
some pictures below

The above are all the pool ones.

the hotel room bed it was huge!!0 -
one thing i would mention is that when you check in they will try and get you to upgrade to a suite for a cheap price, it is not worth it, the rooms are plenty big enough.
You can eat very cheaply in kl, and the shopping is quite cheap as well. But clothes we found were expensive. Its odd things that were very cheap.
If you wear glasses or contacts defo take your prescription out and get them out there they are so so so cheap!!0 -
Hiya, thanks for that-did you do any of the theme parks? Those piccies are lovely:D
:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
nope we didnt do any theme parks, i know there is one not to far away called sunway lagoons.
we did the touristy things in the city centre mainly and then just chilled by the pool, my 10 year old was so happy she just spent nearly all day in the hotel pool, and then she loved eating at the hard rock cafe which was just literally over the road. That was 150 ringetts for the 3 of us which was about £25 which was a bargain for what we had including beer.
Alcohol is very very expensive in kl and asia in general, so if you like a drink it will be expensive. but hard rock cafe had a happy hour which was buy one get one free which made it more reasonable0
