Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500

Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
thanks. I have tried emailing them, but no luck with that.
APR just now is at 38.9% and i can't afford it.0 -
Can you transfer to another account or get another credit card (at 0%?)?
If you join a credit union, you may be able to get a loan at a better rate but you usually need to be a member for 2 or 3 months. I don't usually advise consolidation, but that is a horrible interest rate.
Have you missed payments on this card, or is it part of a DMP? If so can you request a copy of the CCA?After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

sorry - thought you had been around a while and knew the jargon. Must have been another pink something

DMP = Debt Management Plan - usually advised to go through CCCS or Payplan.
CCA = Customer Credit Agreement (If signed before 6th April 2007, the agreement must have certain terms on it to be legally enforcable)After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

no, no dmp.
i don't think i signed anything as it's a catalogue account with additions, and i signed up online0 -
I'm not sure about online applications. If it was before April 2007, it might be worthwhile doing a search on that. I would make a written request for the interest rate to be reduced, then possibly look at a credit union if no joy on the CCA.After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
