Not sure if this is the right forum, but i want to sell some old videos to make some extra cash, does anyone have any idea what the best place would be and if they would really sell at all?

Hi I would say E bay is good for making a bit of money.
Or a car boot?

Agree with Fuffa although videos fetch very low amounts. So I hope you are not planning a holiday with the proceeds!!0

Yea ebay isnt really the right option, They go for pennies and once you've paid for the fee's they charge you make hardly anything. I would suggest either a car boot where your likely to fetch around £1-£2 dependind on what they are and its a great way to get rid of any other junk you might have or keeping them. I have some videos to get rid of to but seems like its not worth getting rid of them for the price they go for now. Goodluck.0

Agree with all the above. Videos sell for hardly anything now as everyone wants DVDs.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Apparently Dvds will be like VHS within a year or so, Was watching a programme a few weeks ago and sony have developed a sort of mini disk which can hold ALOT of data on and there going to start selling these within the next 12 months so sell dvds sooner rather than later, they will always lose money on them anyway before they become even more worthless than they already are...0 -
Hi
I normally take all my old videos to our secondhand video/dvd store. Normally get £2 per tape depending on the title.
Although I did take a boxset of Indiana Jones videos in and sold them for £5, had a browse around the shop and when I was leaving saw the guy sticker up my vids put them in the window with a price tag on them for £15...!

Have you tried those shops like cash convertors? They are always selling videos so might get a bit of cash back? I haven't tried it muself but some people must do it?0

When my Grandad died we took some of his electrical stuff into cash converters as no one wanted.
They paid peanuts, something like £5 for a JVC stereo. It was an older one but worth far more than a fiver! They costed each bit up individually (it was a seperates one.
They took so long pricing it up as well that by the time my Dad got back to his car, the ticket had experied and he had a fine!
Would of been easier giving the stereo away!Lightbulb moment Dec 2005 - debt £23700

Wouldnt advise selling on ebay - Royal Mail has far too much of a factor in your profits.
Go to a car boot, along with everything else you want to sell, and price them up £1/£2 each.
All depends how many you have got if its worthwhile or not.0
