Successful internal appeal against redundancy - what next?

Would it be possible to be transferred to another department?
As others have said, you really do need to think about this realistically, and as you have already said you'd struggle to find something with such good pay and flexible hours in your area, this compromise might involve swallowing your pride.
Could you not ask for a meeting between HR, you and this boss, and get everything out in the open, and give you the chance to ask him questions about why he didn't pick you etc..., and clear the air? It would mean being brave, but if there's no feasible alternative, it might be worth it!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0

I do think this is reasonable advice from an outsider, however, I feel that there was a personal reason why my boss wanted to be rid of me - I can't qualify it but feel it was because I was perhaps more intelligent than him, more qualified than him, and he needed people around him whom he could control, and decided to find a way to get 'new blood' in that he could control, if that makes sense. He wouldn't even look at me or speak to me at the internal hearing, so I do not feel there is an option for me to work under him at any level ever again. I would happily go back to the company but not under his (mis - as have been proven) management. Remember I was replaced by someone with no previous experience in my industry immediately, which is why I won my internal appeal. I had no problem with my boss, but I think he may have wanted to replace me for whatever his personal reasons were, which were proven to be unjustified and unlawful.
I would like to be reinstated at my previous employment, but it would have to be on the condition that my ex-employer (boss) was not in situ.0

P.S. HR did everything he (my ex-employer) asked them to, and were totally on his side, and did not act in any way impartial to my situation, so I felt and still feel that their resource would be useless, another reason why I won my internal appeal I think.0

As an option, you could go back under your old boss. It could totally humiliate him. Especially if you waltz in and hug everyone when you go back and you smile every day when you go home at 3pm. Just a thought. After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
 To dissolve the people
 And elect another?0

That does sound like sweet revenge. However whilst it may be a great feeling in the first week, I think, given what he has put me through and his past behaviour, may become a problem for me in the future. There is also I believe a 4 week time scale on BOTH parties to decide whether the situation is tenable or workable, and he could turn around and find some reason to get rid of me before the 4 week period is up? No?0
