Hi everyone,
Hope someone can answer my question??
I had a next account which is showing as defaulted on Equifax, I have now partially settled the debt and received confirmation from Next that my credit file will now be updated to show partially satisfied.
Will the default still be on my credit file??
Thank you

Yes the default will stay on for six years but under status it wlll show as settled i think. Hope this helps:beer:0 -
Hi,
Will it make any difference to my credit score having partially settled the account?
Thanks0 -
It may improve it slightly. But potential lenders will be able to see on your credit file you have settled it so it could count in your favour. Have they marked it as settled?:beer:0

Not yet, just received today letter from Next confirming that my account will show as partially settled. Will keep an eye on it.
My Next account only appears on Equifax but no mention at all on my Experian Credit record

Can i just ask - was the agreement a "full and final" settlement or a partial settlement? If it was full and final it would be marked on your credit file as partial, but nobody else should be chasing you for any outstanding amount. If it was only partial, someone will probably be chasing you for the rest of the debt quite soon. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
