Leap Pad Pack in Toys R Us

I haven't found this online only instore. Leap Pad with backpack and two Disney Games (Finding Nemo and Lion King) for £19.99. To buy them seperately in Toys R Us was £56.96. It may be bad timing being just after Christmas but it's worth getting one to put away for future birthdays. My 3 year old got one with his Christmas voucher now he has outgrown his First Leap Pad.

oh, i wish i knew someone that i could buy that for it's such a bargain!
  • You're a star - been thinking of buying one ready for my 3 year old's birthday in April. Just ordered one as it's such a bargain. Hate postal charges of 4.95 but that's norm. Thanks again, really pleased.

Spotted huge range of leapfrog leappad books reduced down to £4.95 (normally around £12) in my local Asda on Monday 2nd Jan. Bought a couple for my daughter.

Interestingly they had the actual leappads at the standard price. It did cross my mind that as Boots were also selling off the leappads cheaply that they may be going to be discontinued. I know that there is a combined reading /writing model now.

They had a really good selection for 4-6 and 6-8 age ranges so it may be worth stocking up.

My older son has the Leap Pad plus Writing and it isn't as good as the ordinary Leap Pad. The pencil comes apart very easily and it is hard to use the pen thingy without the pencil inside. I can't imagine Leapfrog discontinuing the ordinary Leap Pad for something not as good. When I got the pack instore the label on the shelf said reduced from £35 which was a good price in the first place I thought. The backpack is definately worth having because it's somewhere to store the books and no more lost cartridges too.
