Help! Barclaycard Debt Harrassment.

A close relative of mine is very stressed out in relation to an outstanding Barclaycard balance of nearly ten thousand pounds. There have been constant phone calls/letters etc over the last 18 months leading to a great deal of stress for her. I HAVE advised to her to produce an accurate financial statement along with a proposal to pay (by recorded post). She has 'sort of' done this before, but they continue to harrass her, they have even requested all her wage slips, work rota's bank statements etc (which I think is wrong). She is not irresponsible, the debt was 'inherited' after a divorce (she is fully liable for the debt). I have told her that if an accurate state of financial affairs + payment proposal is provided that a judge will 'more than likely' rule in her favour and support any reasonable promise to pay. The debt has now been transferred/sold and the harrassment has increased. Could it be that they do not want to go to court for the above reason?? She is a civil servant and is employed in a job where she cannot afford any adverse 'situation' in relation to her credit and fears for her job, (adding to the pressure) + they know what she does....... There is little or no equity in her house (even if you could sell it at the moment!) and she has to juggle custody of her two children.

As I have said, I have tried to advise her as accurately as I can but maybe she needs to hear it from someone else.....

Please Help.
