  • Sall,
As I child, I enjoyed my own company much more than other kids, and tbh, my Joe is much the same. Freya is more like me now, outgoing, chatty etc. All kids are different-Bea is beautiful and sounds dead clever. Don't worry. (but I know you will, we're mum's after all!)

Did you read about me stressing about Joe? His biting of his nails, wiping his face obsessively etc? I was getting really upset about it, ready to pull him out of nursery etc, then everyone convinced me it was 'normal' for kids to do that-since I've stopped stressing it's calmed waaaaay down. Now it's just his eyes I need to worry about, lol

Bea went through a stage of biting her nails really badly, she still does it now and then and its when she is anxious/nervous I think. Whats up with Joe's eyes?
    No probs about the tops

So now you know - if he starts doing that, you're stressed...

I remember stressing one night because DS said noone played with him at nursery - fretted and worked out how we could cope with one wage etc because I couldn't possibly leave him there... next day he didn't want to go home! and seemed to have forgotten about the previous days traumas, I try not to worry so much now...

That's the "working mother's guilt trip". My mother had it with me. Of course hers was justified as I've turned into a mad axe-wielding fruitcake (with nuts, but gluten-free).

have you still got that axe?!!

If I stayed at home I'd no doubt have a whole other set of worries, no one explains what a lot there is too worry about. they tell you you'll never have enough money again or sleep but not the worrying! :D

Absolutely. Used it to cut a weed that my next-door neighbour kindly explained was called a "sycamore".

    Gardener...moi?
