I know this has nothing to do with Xmas Stock (Im sorry)

Was in poundland earlier getting a USB Hub and someone took an item up to the till and asked "how much is it" - jeez.

If I was the counter gurl I would have said some sarcastic reply etc, but she just said "its a pound" and left it at that.

    Did make me chuckle.

quite funny during the year when someone has reduced a basket of stuff to 50p for quick sale. Just watch the poor cashiers trying to work that one out! They had to call the manager for help!

  • I was in the Poundland in Slough last week with my son (9). He had got bored with my browsing and took his purchases to the till. He had 4 items, however 1 of them was a 2-for-a-pound bar of chocolate. The cashier just charged him £3.50 with no bother.

My wife took our youngest son (6) to another pound shop (not Poundland) yesterday, and he also picked up one 2-for-a-pound item. The cashier asked if he would like to add a Cadburys chocolate bar (also 2-for-a-pound) to make it upto a round figure. As you can guess, he was more than happy with this idea!

Just to get back on topic - Half price stuff, great spot.

    And a Coventry First. A "95p" store!
