I applied for an additions catalogue so that I could use a code I found on here. I was surprised when I was accepted and received my order. I then placed another order and 2 days later it showed as credit rejected. I phoned them to be told that I could not have a credit account and would have to pay back the money monthly as if I had a credit account. This was fine, I then got a phone call from them offering me £30.00 off when I spent £60.00 so I placed my order that was rejected and paid with my debit card over the phone. I waited for it to arrive and when it didnt I checked on line to see credit rejected again. How can it be credit rejected when you pay with a debit card? I called them to passed aroound 3 different people to be finally told that the money had been used to pay off some of my balance. Surely this is not allowed, I was going to pay the balance monthly as previously agreed, but they have taken my money and kept the goods.
What I really need to know is what can I do?? Any help would be gratefully received

Don't spend money you don't have.
Is there a reason that both your credit card and your debit card were rejected as well as your cedit application? Do you already have debts with another member of the Littlewoods group?Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
I'm afraid I'm with mootomoo. Don't order things on credit. I can understand them keeping the money. You say you cannot pay so agree a monthy repayment, then order more things paying in full. They must be slightly confused (as am I).
I don't mean this to sound harsh (early in the morning and not at my best

I dont think i explained clearly. I only got the credit so I could get discount. I paid with my debit card which was accepted but they did not give me my purchase.
I can afford to pay its just that they said that I could pay monthly, i didn't ask to. I want to pay it its just that I feel like they have been underhand taking the money, if they had said to pay it all at once I would of, I even offered to return the goods.0 -
Just to clarify I didnt say I couldnt pay and I dont have any debts with littlewoods or any other. I have catalogues that I either pay monthly or that have no money spent on them. They gave me credit then decided that I couldnt because of someone I am 'linked to'(previous partner). I offered to py back what had been delivered or return it and they said just to pay it in the usual monthly installments on a decreasing credit limit. This was fine, when they offered me further discount I ordered the stuff that had not gone through last time with my debit card which was accepted and was given a delivery date. The delivery date came and went and so sign of my order.I called them to be told that the money had been put to pay off most of my balance, this is what I think is wrong. Surely they cannot just take your money in such an underhand way.0
