Is anyone on the Bank of Scotland SVR?

Hi

Checked a recent letter regarding a reduction in my mortgage payments I have received from Bank of Scotland (that's the HBOS Bank of Scotland NOT the Royal Bank of Scotland).

The standard variable rate is 5.35%. How can this be I thought as the HBOS rate is 5% and Bank of Scotland is part of HBOS.

Oh no said the call centre man Bank of Scotland has a separate SVR as opposed to the Halifax at 5%!!!!

Is this true, it cannot be surely. I cannot find anywhere upon the internet an SVR rate for Bank of Scotland only - only HBOS as a group. Even the HBOS website (Bank of Scotland links) takes you to Halifax products at an SVR at 5%!!

Grateful if anyone can confirm call centre man is correct. Bizzare.
