Hi there Wonder if anyone can help. I've been going out with my boyfriend for 2 years now and we've been living together for a year. My fixed rate mortgage comes to an end in March so we're looking to remortgage and get a bit extra to do up the kitchen ready for selling. We eventually want a house that we've bought…

i own my house and would not put my partner on the mortgage as i can afford it on my own. once he is on the mortage he can take half if you split up and at that time you may not be in a position to buy him out.

don't do it!!!

i would only do a joint mortgage if i could buy a house which was worth at least double what mine is so i can keep my level of investment IYKWIM.
