Two Week Training Course & Job Seekers Allowance
ipx
I've recently been made redundant after 20 years of continuous employment.
I have the opportunity to undertake an intensive two week training course that will significantly increase my employment prospects. Unfortunately, I believe this may effect my eligibility for Job Seekers Allowance and I guess by my mortgage insurance.
Does anyone know what view the Job Center will take?
thanks

Good point but I think I might have to.
The course is a couple of hundred miles away and my signing on day falls during the first week of the course.0 -

If you have only just been made redundant and not informed JSA, Take the 2 week course and then contact JSA and with your mortgage the insurance won't start for 6 weeks after your redundancy so yo should be OK.0
