Determined To Get A Camera This Week

Promised myself a camera at Christmas, currently borrowing a 2mp from a friend. Have a family of 4 and go away every now and again but to be honest am not a photo mad person, just like to have a half decent one.

Originally was going to go for a digital camcorder but have noticed to use it as a still camera means spending £300+.

Have an old Canon Camcorder which to be honest works fine and have a decent hp pc and all in one prineter and have no problems copying camcorder tapes or camera phots on to it.

Can anyone help in suggesting half decent camera PREFERABLY which take movies (even if for only 5 minutes).

Planning on doing Argos and Currys on Saturday and would rather have mind made up on what to go for.

Thanks
