Never heard of them myself, but a 10 second check from a search engine came up with their website

http://www.churchwoodfinance.co.uk/index.asp

which you probably knew about anyway, and a collection of mostly poor reviews

I generally take 'reviews' with a pinch of salt though because its generally the people with negative views that tend to want to post them on the internet.
• Hi,
I'm sorry to say that I have had a bad experience with them. I have started a thread called Churchwood Finance hassle.
• although this is not a money problems post, it is to do with Churchwood Finance. If you are thinking of going with them - PLEASE DON'T.

I am not with them myself, but their marketing phonecalls are scandelous!!
i dont know how they got my mobile number, as i never give it out ( only to friends and relatives), but theyve somehow got it and are now giving me 20+ calls a day. at least one every hour from about 8am to 9pm. and i have received a few texts too. i have managed to block the calls from the unwanted numbers but i have a sony erricsson so i only have the option to receive calls from 12 numbers (although no one ever calls - just texts).
i have typed in the numbers (they use more than one - so far ive got a list of 10 numbers they use) to the search engine and got a website called "who calls me?" and their company, or a debt company of some type always comes up.

i really am getting sick of the calls. I have only just registered with TPS - so that will take a month till it becomes illegal to use my number in marketing, and i have tried to complain through ofcom and the information commisioner. i have also sent an email to churchwood finance to tell them to take my number off their list.
Anybody else had harrassing calls like this and know how to get rid of them???

That is simple, tell them you are registered with TPS and ask them not to call you again. Insist that they take you off their call list immediately otherwise you will report them.
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.
• If you are receiving nuisance calls you need to send a complaint to the Compliance Officer complaints@churchwoodfinancial.co.uk
They do use Lead Introducers and they will get your number deleted if it shouldn't be on their lists. If you email anyone else it may not get to where it needs to be. Rember some friends think it really funny to put someones number on a database, as a joke, we get it all the time.
• Dear Jellie Bean

Did you contact their Compliance Officer? there's always two sides to astory you know.

I don't trust any company who has a "complainceofficer" posting here with 3 posts at this time against their name. If the company had done its job like it was supposed to, there wouldnt be people saying how bad they are. On review centre it is easy to spot the fake 10/10 posters, have they written reviews before, what is their language like etc..

Other companies to avoid:
