Budget Beauty Buys I can recommend!

Hiya.....since moving to Scotland and moving with my boyfriend I have been doing some cutting back, beauty products being one part! I used to use Clinique, Clarins, Benefit, Lancome etc so I thought I'd recommend some products that I've been converted to.....hopefully this will actually help someone!

Best Mascara: Boots Natural Collection Lash Length Mascara (£1.99 - 3 for £5 at the moment) - this mascara made made my lashes look better than Lancome!

Best Lip Gloss: Rimmel Sweet Jelly gloss (£3.99) fab lip gloss, not sticky

Best Eye Liner: Miss Sporty Mini Me Eye Liner (£2.49) this is by far THE best eye liner i've ever used!

Best Eye Shadow - Miss Sporty Fabulous Eyes Eye Pencil (£2.49) this is a fab eye shadow pencil that goes on really easy and lasts aaaages!

Best Face Wipes - Asda Essential Care Wipes (3 for £2) removed all make up really gently and without rubbing my eyes loads, left skin really soft and not dried out

Best moisturiser - Asda Clear Skin Moisturiser (£1.99 i think!) - this is for spots etc but leaves any skin feeling clean and soft

Best self tan moisturiser range - Asda Essential Care Tan Moisturiser (£2.64 for body, £1.29 for face) THE BEST self tan moisturiser/gradual tanner ive used.

A lot of these products (well probably all of them!) i actually prefer to the more expensive products. The packaging may not be as cute as Benefit, but the products themselves are brill, esp for the price.
I have other product recommendations, but I dont want to waffle on, if anyone wants to ask me, reply to this thread and ill see if i can help!

I am gradually trying to cut back on my favourite make up, but I do love MAC and Benefit. Mac eyeshadows are so long-lasting and the colours are amazing :D

I do need to find a better mascara though, I got tricked by the pesky Benefit salesgirl the other day into buying some mascara and it wasn't as good as the No 7 stuff I had been using. £14 down the bleedin drain

Try Barry M dazzle dusts, they are really long lasting, cos the pigment is concentrated and u dont need much, they are really cheap.
I'm stickin to cheap stuff til i get my overdraft cleared :A lol
If you apply it correctly any make up can look wonderful! I never believed that until i tried these products!

    Great thread! :j

I recommend Aldi's face cleansing wipes, I think they're 80p a pack and recently were on BOGOF - total bargain. I use the sensitive skin ones and they are excellent, just as good as brands costing 5 times more. I also tried the much-hyped moisturiser but I don't like it as much as L'oreal Revitalift.

Aldi also do their own version of Touche Eclait which is just as good. I think it's about £4.

Barry M nail polish is a good buy at £3 with an amazing selection of colours.

I don't think I could be persuaded to stop using Clinique foundation and Chanel mascara, but I really like Loreal's Infallible lipsticks. They're long lasting with a moisturising balm and although they cost £11 in Boots, you can pick them up quite easily on eBay for half that price.;)

I use the boots natural collection mascaras and have done for quite a while now and agree that they are as good as the more expensive brands.
