Six months ago the PM was saying ....don't waste food,.... don't get into debt..we've all overreached ourselves and need to be thrifty which is music to DFW's ears...
...Today it's spend spend spend and save the country from recession. Just slap on to the credit card and suffer later...

Hi,
I am sure that I am not alone when I say that 2.5% off the VAT is not really going to help me........I can't afford to buy a new coat for £70 in the first place, so £1.75 off the £70 means nothing to me.
Don't get me wrong I am grateful for anything that makes more money in my pocket, but I am sure there must be a better way to make people have more money .

Yeah, I don't think it's going to help any of us by a £20K car somehow. They want us to buy luxury goods at this price, but as that's about the sum of my debt, I don't think so!
If they want us to shop, they should give us all £3k each to go to the shops and take a pay cut themselves!0 -
It was buying luxury goods etc that got me into this in the first place.....I would be happier if I had more money in my wage packet every month, and could save a little bit.
We'll save buying the luxury items until we will the lottery........yipee..:j:j:j
