I got this the other day - I was initially impressed but the tax & surcharges BA add on are ridiculous in most instances. I ended up booking a reward flight using EuroBonus instead since the same route cost half as much as BA in taxes etc.

£770 for the equivalent of £14400 of flights is ridiculous then? There's no pleasing some people.

My £890 is all I paid - the 100,000 BA Miles were all accrued through normal shopping and fuel purchases.

Redemptions on short haul, cattle class tickets will be worse value however.

it's a phenomenal deal if you've got the points for longhaul - I've just booked all our hols for next year; and of course, worst case, it costs £15/person to undo your reservation and convert back to points; dates can also be changed for free.
